 Introduction

For contract management to be successful, the client and the contractor must talk some language. A contract must be written in a language understood by all parties involved in the management of the project. The client must provide adequate resources in time and the contractor exercise good governance which targets the use of skilled manpower. The contractor must use the expertise of identifying, monitoring, and managing risks.

A key to successful contract management must be clear and provide an adequate communication link between client and contractor. Good communication is always a make-or-break in managing relationships. The client/contractor relationship should recognize that a project is composed of diverse attitudes and behaviors which must be matched with project objectives and necessary therefore to seek solutions for the good of the project.

Training Objective

  • Course participants will be able to competently carry out contract management and administration functions in accordance with the standards of professional practice and the provisions of the Laws and Regulations.

Training Methodology and Approach

  • The training will be participatory and practical oriented combining with lecture, cases study, plenary discussion, group works, and presentations

Workshop Organization and duration

  • The training will be conducted from 08:00 to 16:00 hours every day for  4 days
