Introduction
RET has prepared a professional Stata course on data analysis with Stata. Stata is a general-purpose statistical software package created in 1985 by StataCorp. It is used by many businesses and academic institutions around the world. Most of its users work in research, especially in the fields of economics, sociology, political science, biomedicine, and epidemiology. Stata's capabilities include data management, statistical analysis, graphics, simulations, and custom programming. Stata statistical software provides everything you need for data science and inference–data manipulation, exploration, visualization, statistics, reporting, and predictability.

Training Objective
The goal of the workshop is to equip the participants with relevant knowledge and skills to manage and analyze projects data effectively and be able to present findings smartly in project reports (baseline, midterm, monitoring, and end-line reports)

Training Outcomes
After completing this course, participants should be able:

• Getting Started with Stata 17, create and define project data files, understand new features of Stata 17 https://www.stata.com/features/
• To understand data and variable types, create variables and coding them into a data entry file
• To do data entry and mining. keying data, import data from excel, access databases, and text files, Merging cases and variables between two files
• To perform data cleaning, manipulation, and transforming
• To export final data sets to other formats (excel, text, and SPSS)
• To perform various descriptive and inferential statistics for reporting findings.
• To edit and format tables, graphs and export them into Microsoft word for reporting

Training Methodology and Approach
The training will be participatory and fully practical oriented (group works and discussions) with very limited lecturing on PowerPoint. Participants will be installed with the latest TRIAL version of Stata 17 SE/MP to work in handover practical exercise with trainers

 Introduction

For contract management to be successful, the client and the contractor must talk some language. A contract must be written in a language understood by all parties involved in the management of the project. The client must provide adequate resources in time and the contractor exercise good governance which targets the use of skilled manpower. The contractor must use the expertise of identifying, monitoring, and managing risks.

INTRODUCTION

• Knowledge and skills on occupation health and safety management in business organizations, construction, central and local government authorities, academic institutions, and voluntary organizations are very important in order to make the working environment safe. Occupation Health and Safety may also protect co-workers, family members, employers, customers, and many others who might be affected by the workplace environment.
• OSHE Course spearheads on Electrical and Pressure Hazards, hazard identification or assessment, as an important step in the overall risk assessment and risk management process. It is where individual work hazards are identified, assessed, and controlled/eliminated as close to the source (location of the hazard) as reasonably as possible. In line with this fact, Research Experts of Tanzania (RET) is organizing a comprehensive training course on Occupational Health and safety.
